Please read these terms and conditions (‘Terms’) carefully, since they apply to the prize draw (the ‘Prize Draw’) that you enter when you submit a valid vote in the ‘Golden Garages’ competition (the ‘Competition’). You will be legally bound by these Terms from the time you submit a vote in the Competition.
The Prize Draw is administered through the site www.GoldenGarages.co.uk (‘Website’).
Your attention is also drawn to the ‘Golden Garages’ Competition Rules, the Website Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (separate documents).
- The Prize Draw will run from 00:01am on the 11 February 2010 to 11:59pm on 8 March 2010 (the ‘First Round’) and from 00:01am on 9 March 2010 to 11:59pm on 22 March 2010 (the ‘Second Round’). Entries made after the First Round and before the Second Round may not be entered in the Prize Draw and votes will not count. The Promoter reserves the right to extend the entry periods – if it chooses to do so, notice will be made on the Website.
- The Prize Draw is open to residents of Great Britain, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or Northern Ireland,aged 18 or over except employees of the Promoter, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, employees of Garages, or any agents or individual professionally connected with the Prize Draw or the Competition.
- To enter the Prize Draw, you need to nominate a passenger car service and repair centre (‘Garage’) within Great Britain, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland that has delivered a high level of customer satisfaction, casting your vote through the Competition Website at www.GoldenGarages.co.uk. You may only submit one vote during each of the First Round and the Second Round, but whether you vote in one round or both, only one entry will be made into the Prize Draw. There is no purchase necessary.
- Garage nominations will be divided according to the location of the Garage into 10 regions (Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, Midlands, East, London and the South East, South West); Five Garages will be shortlisted by the Promoter for each of the ten regions, based on the number of nominations received for each Garage in each region and the information provided in the ‘Optional information’ text box on the Website. The garages shortlisted in the First Round will be entered into the Second Round. More information about this is provided in the Competition Rules.
- The Promoter may use the information that you provide in the ‘Optional information’ text box for advertising, promotion, publicity and/or other purposes. By providing the information and submitting the form, you consent to this, waive any so-called ‘moral rights’ (including the right to be named as the author) and assign all copyright in the text to the Promoter.
- The Winner will be selected at random under supervision of an independent observer from all eligible entries, on 23 March 2010.
- There will be five winners. The winners will be notified by the Promoter by the email contact details provided on the entry form. A winner must acknowledge this notification within 14 days in order to claim their Prize. If they do not do so then the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to an alternative winner. The Prize will be in the form of a Land Rover Experience for the winner and two friends.
- The Promoter reserves the right (but is not obliged) to substitute a reasonably equivalent alternative prize, of equal or greater value, should circumstances make this necessary.
- Any decision of the Promoter as to eligibility to take part in the Prize Draw or the result of the Prize Draw will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for votes that are incomplete, delayed, lost, damaged or unreadable, whether due to failure or non-availability of the website, the submission of incomplete information or any other reason.
- The Promoter reserves the right to delay, postpone or cancel the Prize Draw in the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, which it considers make it necessary for it to do so.
- The winner may be required to take part in non-paid publicity or advertising relating to the Prize Draw, which may include having their photograph taken for promotional and press purposes.
- The name and county of the winner will be made available. If you would like this information, send a request and a stamped self addressed envelope to: Motor Codes Limited, Forbes House, Halkin Street, London SW1X 7DS.
- By entering the Prize Draw, all entrants consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this Prize Draw and for use for marketing purposes by the Promoter. The winner also consents to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of advertising, promotion and/or publicity in connection with the Prize Draw.

- The Promoter reserves the right to clarify the Terms, in the event of any possible ambiguity or misinterpretation, and in such circumstances, notice will be made on the Website. The Prize Draw and these terms and conditions are subject to English law. Any disputes must be referred to the English courts.
